Episode 13 – All Hail The Church of the Block Chain (AI Voice Test)

In this edition, the top news starts with:  Demonstrating the need to usurp human free will, it seems along with the Church of the Jedi being a real thing… there is also now a Church of the Block Chain with Faith in every block being a distributed group of believers… really, I cannot make any more fun of these guys without using foul language; so, anyway, in other news… #SCAM… 


The AI is out to get your job even if you are the CEO.  A new post contains details of this hideous plan to oust managers around the world in place of the machine.


IEEE came out with a note about how robots could express themselves when they fail… so that they still feel loved…


Deepmind released a study on city navigating without using a map.  In the long run, in addition to providing another layer of sensor capability, this is a key skill that self-driving cars will need when they get off grid or otherwise deal with new roads and other details not found on internal maps.


Amazon has come out with a new patent on a big brother voice spy program that may or may not be installed in Amazon’s Alexa.


And this could be especially exciting for our machine overlords if combined with the fake cell towers spying on everyone’s calls in Washington, D.C.  What a great idea.


A new satellite launch of the UK aims to test multiple space junk removal technologies hoping to make near earth space safer.


A new proposal for NASA includes sending flying robot swarms to Mars to explore the planet and attack any alien life we find.


IBM dominates Bing Ads, tops Google Ads too… still
