IEEE came out with a note about how robots could express themselves when they fail… so that they still feel loved…

Deepmind released a study on city navigating without using a map.  In the long run, in addition to providing another layer of sensor capability, this is a key skill that self-driving cars will need when they get off grid or otherwise deal with new roads and other details not found on internal maps.

Amazon has come out with a new patent on a big brother voice spy program that may or may not be installed in Amazon’s Alexa.
